Yinfang Wang studied architecture at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan before being awarded the Ministry of Education’s full government scholarship to attend The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, in London, where she received a Master of Architecture in Architectural Design. Prior to founding her practice in 2019, she developed a rigorous international design methodology through formative years at Sou Fujimoto Architects in Tokyo, SimpsonHaugh in London, and Spark Architects in Shanghai.
Yinfang Wang is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and a Registered Architect in Taiwan. Her practice, Yinfang Wang Architects, functions as a design practice and a platform for spatial research. The practice utilizes continuous theoretical experimentation to interrogate the fundamental intersections of geometry, geographic context, and the atmospheric qualities of light. This research-driven approach allows the practice to address architectural challenges, applying its findings to a diverse portfolio ranging from intimate residential sanctuaries to complex urban interventions.
Alongside her design practice, Yinfang Wang is deeply committed to architectural education and critical discourse. She currently teaches at the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) and has previously taught at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU). Through ongoing engagement with academic institutions and contributions to leading architectural publications, she actively theorizes the evolving processes of contemporary design and the built environment.
